Qualifications

• Experience in digital banking or financial product development is preferred.

• Lead analytics-driven projects in banking and financial services.

The CERP is an organization founded by renowned Pakistani academics in 2008, providing consulting, policy and advisory, and economic analysis services to the public and private sectors in Pakistan. CERP Analytics and Systems practice is expanding and pushing the envelope of traditional economic research to combine multiple disciplines, quantitative analysis, qualitative research, behavioral insights and human centered design to drive our core philosophy to use evidence and insights in a wide variety of business and public sector settings including but not limited to decision making, market research, risk analysis, digital transformation and process, product and systems development.

Role Overview

The Project Manager – Financial Services (Analytics) will lead consulting and analytics projects within the banking and financial services sector. The role involves end‑to‑end project management, in‑depth industry research, financial analysis, and development of data‑driven solutions to support product innovation and strategic decision‑making. The Project Manager will work closely with clients to analyze market dynamics, evaluate financial performance, and support the design and launch of innovative financial products. The role requires strong analytical capabilities, sector expertise, and stakeholder management skills.

Job Responsibilities

Strategic Responsibilities

• Lead analytics‑driven projects focused on the banking and financial services sector.
• Develop insights on digital banking trends, market dynamics, and financial ecosystems in Pakistan and globally
• Analyze data to answer questions, draw insights, and intelligence pertinent to an industry or segment.
• Use the insights and intelligence to make strategic and operational recommendations.
• Ability to visualize, analyze, and conceive efficient systems and system components to solve economic, business, and human problems.

Project & Stakeholder Management

• Manage the full project lifecycle from initiation to completion, ensuring delivery within scope, timelines, and budget.
• Work with senior members of the Analytics team to develop efficient work plans, identify items on the critical path, and develop project risk mitigation strategies. Manage the workplan and assign work to other team members.
• Interface with the client, lead planning and status calls, manage client relationships, and lead project delivery to the client’s satisfaction.

Technical & Functional Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth research on the financial services industry, particularly the banking sector.
• Develop a strong understanding of digital banking systems, regulatory landscape, and market trends.
• Analyze data to answer questions, draw insights, and intelligence pertinent to an industry or segment. Use the insights and intelligence to make strategic and operational recommendations.
• Ability to visualize, analyze, and conceive efficient systems and system components to solve economic, business, and human problems.

Operational Responsibilities

• Ensure high‑quality delivery of project outputs and adherence to timelines.
• Provide leadership to a team of Analysts and Associates to ensure successful project delivery while keeping them motivated.
• Ability to multitask and effectively deliver project tasks individually and through team members.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Public Policy, or a related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in project management within financial services, consulting, or fintech.
• Experience working in digital banking or financial product development is preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Strong understanding of financial statements, banking metrics, and industry KPIs.
• Proficiency in PowerPoint and presentation tools for developing compelling narratives.
