The Programme Associate (M&E) plays a crucial role in supporting the World Food Programme's (WFP) school meal programming in Sindh, Pakistan. This position is vital for ensuring evidence-based decision-making and enhancing the effectiveness and accountability of WFP's operations. The Associate will assist in all aspects of school meal programming, working under the guidance of the School Meal M&E Officer. Key responsibilities include providing technical support for planning, implementing, and monitoring school meal activities, ensuring they align with WFP's objectives and guidelines. The role involves managing and monitoring projects to ensure adherence to established plans and policies. A significant part of the job is preparing and analyzing monitoring reports, field findings, and performance indicators, identifying issues, and recommending corrective actions. The Associate will be responsible for the accurate and timely collection, verification, and management of monitoring data, ensuring data quality for reporting. This includes coordinating with internal teams, external partners, schools, and government counterparts to facilitate monitoring, verify program delivery, and address implementation challenges. Furthermore, the role supports capacity building for staff and partners on monitoring tools and processes, acts as a focal point for queries, and ensures the quality assurance of field monitoring activities. The Associate also ensures WFP's data protection policy is implemented at the field level and performs other related duties as assigned.
Completion of secondary school education is required. A first-level university degree (Bachelor's) in social sciences, public health/nutrition, project management, development studies, or an equivalent, is desirable.
The role requires a minimum of 6 years of experience in project cycle management, monitoring implementation, and data collection, processing, and analysis systems. Strong statistical, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills are essential. The candidate must be proficient in Excel and database management software and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
