Job summary

Indus Hospital & Health Network is seeking a Supply Chain Officer to manage procurement activities, prepare purchase orders, and ensure timely delivery of materials at economical costs.

Ideal candidates will have a BBA/MBA in Supply Chain and at least 1 year of relevant healthcare experience, with strong negotiation and vendor performance skills.

Qualifications

• 1 year of relevant experience in procurement, preferably in healthcare/pharmaceutical sectors.
• BBA/MBA in Supply Chain from a reputable institution.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and verify purchase orders in line with quotations as per SOP.
• Ensure availability of all material needs at the most economical cost and minimum time frame.
• Inform relevant departments of delivery schedules.
• Negotiate contracts and rates with suppliers to meet quality, cost and delivery requirements.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and verify purchase orders in line with quotations as per SOP
• Ensure availability of all material needs at the most economical cost and minimum time frame
• Inform relevant departments of delivery schedules
• Prepare comparatives of requested items to reduce supply chain costs
• Prepare and send purchase orders to vendors as per the procurement manual
• Develop, compile, reconcile, and update vendor information/registration records
• Negotiate contracts and rates with suppliers to meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements for the Indus Health Network
• Develop alternate sources for critical and single-source materials
• Manage supplier evaluation, maintain an approved vendor list, and liaise between vendors and internal users
• Arrange returns and replacements as per the Purchase Manual policy
• Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery and stock availability
• Maintain and reimburse petty cash promptly
• Conduct sampling and product evaluation per defined SOP
• Manage vendor performance reports and related documentation
