Job description

OPERATIONS MANAGER — Build the Machine Behind a Growing U.S. Software Company

Full-Time | In-Office | Lahore, Pakistan

Monday–Friday | 7:00 PM – 3:00 AM PKT (US business hours)

$2,000–$2,500 USD/month, paid in US dollars — based on experience

We need someone who hates chaos more than they love titles.

Hot Prospector is a U.S.-based software company that builds technology helping sales teams and marketing agencies connect with more prospects, follow up faster, and close more business. We've been doing it for more than a decade. And we're growing.

Growth creates a particular kind of problem: more customers, more people, more departments, more handoffs — and more things that almost work the way they're supposed to.

That's where you come in.

We're looking for an exceptional operations person in Lahore who can walk into a process, understand what's really happening, figure out why it's breaking, and fix it. Not six months from now. Not after 14 meetings. Fix it.

THIS IS NOT A "MANAGE FROM A DESK" JOB

We're not looking for someone to inherit a perfectly organized operation and maintain it. We want a builder.

You’ll get into the weeds. You’ll sit with the people doing the work. You’ll ask annoying questions:

"Why do we do it this way?"

"Who owns this?"

"What happens when this breaks?"

"Why are three people doing something that software could do?"

Then you’ll build a better way. Once it works, you’ll document it, measure it, automate what can be automated, and make sure the team actually follows it.

Then you’ll move to the next problem.

WHAT YOU'LL ACTUALLY WORK ON

You’ll start by helping us tighten up customer support and internal operations. But this role won’t stop there — you’ll eventually work across support, onboarding, sales operations, customer operations, internal systems, and whatever part of the company needs to work better.

You’ll:

  • Find broken processes and rebuild them.

  • Create clear ownership so things don’t fall between departments.

  • Build SOPs people actually use.

  • Create scorecards so we know what’s working — and what isn’t.

  • Improve handoffs between teams.

  • Find repetitive work that should be automated.

  • Use AI and software to make our people faster and more effective.

  • Spot problems before the CEO has to find them.

  • Follow through until something is actually fixed.

And you’ll work directly with our U.S. leadership team.

THE PERSON WE'RE LOOKING FOR

You’ve probably always been the person who organizes things. You notice when something doesn’t make sense. And you can’t stand hearing “that’s just how we’ve always done it.”

You don’t need someone to give you a 17-step checklist before you can move. Give you the outcome, access to the people and systems, and enough context to understand the problem — and you figure it out.

You’re analytical. You’re organized. You’re persistent. You communicate extremely well. And you’re comfortable respectfully challenging people when something doesn’t make sense.

Most importantly: you finish things.

Lots of people can identify problems. Lots of people can create spreadsheets. Lots of people can run meetings. We need someone who can turn a messy problem into a working system.

YOU SHOULD BE GOOD WITH TECHNOLOGY

We’re a software company. You don’t need to be a developer — but you should genuinely enjoy technology.

You should be comfortable learning new software, figuring out how systems connect, using AI, building automations, and asking: "Why are we doing this manually?"

If ChatGPT, automation tools, dashboards and new software make you curious rather than uncomfortable, you’ll probably fit in well here.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

After a few months, we should be able to point to parts of Hot Prospector and say: “That runs better because you built the system.”

Fewer things falling through the cracks. Clearer ownership. Better reporting. Faster customer support. Better onboarding. Less manual work. Managers knowing their numbers. People knowing exactly what’s expected of them.

And eventually, something even more important: our CEO shouldn’t have to be the person discovering every operational problem. You should be finding them first.

THIS ROLE CAN BECOME MUCH BIGGER

We’re not hiring someone just to clean up a few processes. We’re looking for someone who could eventually become a key operator inside the company — the person leadership trusts when something important needs to be built, fixed or organized.

If you’re exceptional, your responsibility will grow. So will your opportunity.

THE DETAILS

Location: Lahore — in person, five days a week. This is not remote and it will not become remote.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 PM – 3:00 AM Pakistan Standard Time. Our leadership team is in the United States and this role works alongside them live, so it’s a night shift. We say that plainly because we’d rather you decide now than three weeks in.

Compensation: $2,000–$2,500 USD per month, paid in US dollars, depending on experience — roughly PKR 545,000–680,000 per month at current exchange rates.

English: You’ll work closely with our U.S. leadership every day. Excellent spoken and written English isn’t a nice-to-have here — it’s the job.

BEFORE YOU APPLY

Don’t send us a generic cover letter telling us you’re “results-oriented” and “a team player.”

Show us.

Tell us about one messy operation or process you personally fixed. What was broken? How did you figure out what was actually wrong? What did you change? And what happened afterward?

Bonus points if you show us the SOP, dashboard, automation, workflow or system you built.

Because we’re not hiring based on who writes the best résumé. We’re looking for the person who sees a mess and immediately starts figuring out how to make it run.
