Job summary

Jaffer Business Systems (JBS) in Pakistan is seeking a proactive Resident Engineer to provide on-site technical support and ensure the seamless operation of our IT infrastructure.

Based in the JBS Customer Service unit, this full-time onsite role covers hardware installation and maintenance, software deployment, and basic L1 networking to keep end-user systems running smoothly. You will work with a diverse tech team and focus on hands-on problem solving to drive reliable services for our clients.

Qualifications

• Experience installing and configuring computer hardware and peripherals (printers, scanners).
• Experience deploying and troubleshooting operating systems and enterprise applications.
• Practical knowledge of physical network infrastructure (cable coding, crimping, patching).

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer hardware and peripheral devices.
• Oversee the deployment and troubleshooting of enterprise software and applications.
• Perform essential L1 networking tasks, including cable coding, crimping, and patch panel management to ensure reliable connectivity.
• Diagnose and resolve network connectivity failures and manage IP address configurations to maintain stable internal communication for all end-user devices.
