Job summary

Relief International is seeking a District MHPSS Officer to deliver psychological and psychosocial support through scheduled mobile clinics and home visits in Peshawar, Pakistan.

The role requires a Master’s in Psychology, 4+ years of MHPSS experience, and skills in assessment, counselling, and community engagement. The officer will work under clinical supervision and coordinate with wellbeing centers and partners to reach vulnerable populations.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Clinical or Counselling Psychology.
• At least 4 years of relevant psychological or MHPSS experience.
• Competence in psychological assessment, counselling and structured interventions.
• Experience with informed consent, confidentiality and safeguarding.
• Ability to plan mobile work and travel within RI procedures.
• Clear communication in Pashto, Urdu and a district language; basic English reading.
• Training in a focused psychological intervention or Psychological First Aid.
• Experience in mobile clinics, home-based support or adolescent and caregiver services.

Responsibilities

• Plan mobile service schedules with coordinators and communities.
• Set up confidential mobile consultation spaces and manage flows.
• Provide psychological support, risk-appropriate care and referrals.
• Maintain confidential case records and secure data collection.
• Coordinate with supervision and colleagues to ensure quality care.
• Engage with communities to promote wellbeing and reduce stigma.
