Job summary

The District MHPSS Officer delivers accessible psychological and psychosocial support through scheduled mobile clinics and approved community and home-based visits in Mardan. The role provides assessment and counselling within the officer’s psychology qualifications, supervised practice, and safe referral and follow-up.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in psychology with clinical focus or equivalent training.
• Minimum four years of relevant psychological or MHPSS experience, including casework.
• Ability to plan mobile work and travel to districts.
• Clear communication in Pashto, Urdu and a local district language; basic English reading.

Responsibilities

• Deliver psychological and psychosocial support through mobile clinics and home-based visits.
• Conduct consent-based assessments and develop care plans under supervision.
• Refer to and coordinate with higher-level care as needed.
• Maintain confidential records and safe practice following RI guidelines.
• Uphold RI’s values and protective policies and support staff wellbeing.
