Job summary

Abacus Consulting is seeking a Mid-Level Support Engineer for SAP Commerce (Hybris) to provide Level 2 and Level 3 application support. The role involves investigating and resolving production issues, performing root cause analysis, and implementing configuration and code fixes across the SAP Commerce platform.

The ideal candidate has 3-6 years of experience with SAP Commerce (Hybris), strong knowledge of the ServiceLayer, Spring, and WCMS/CMS modules, and will work across multiple locations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/IT/SE.
• 3-6 years of experience supporting and developing SAP Commerce (Hybris).
• Hands-on experience with SAP Commerce extensions, ServiceLayer, Spring, Interceptors, Cron Jobs, and Event Listeners.
• Solid understanding of SAP Commerce facades, services, checkout processes, promotion engine, and WCMS/CMS modules.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 application support for SAP Commerce (Hybris).
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues; perform root cause analysis.
• Implement configuration and code fixes; collaborate with cross-functional teams for stability and performance.
• Document incidents, ensure SLAs, and contribute fixes to knowledge base/runbooks.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Mid-Level Support Engineer with 3-6 years of experience in SAP Commerce (Hybris) to provide Level 2 and Level 3 application support. The successful candidate will independently investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues across the SAP Commerce platform, perform root cause analysis, implement configuration and code fixes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system stability and optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Confident Hybris development: extensions, ServiceLayer, Spring wiring, interceptors, cron jobs, and event listeners.
• Solid understanding of commerce facades/services, checkout flows, promotion engine rules, and WCMS/CMS content issues.
• Diagnose region cache, Solr indexing, and Impex/import job failures; tune FlexibleSearch for problem queries.
• General support: independent incident and problem management under ITIL, accurate ticket documentation and categorization, meeting response/resolution SLAs, and contributing fixes back to the knowledge base and runbooks.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-6 years of experience supporting and developing SAP Commerce (Hybris) applications.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• SAP Commerce extensions
• ServiceLayer architecture
• Spring Framework configuration and dependency injection
• Interceptors, Cron Jobs, and Event Listeners
• Solid understanding of SAP Commerce facades, services, checkout processes, promotion engine, and WCMS/CMS modules.

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP Commerce (Hybris) training or certification is a plus.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) is an advantage.
