Job summary

The Children’s Place in Lahore, Pakistan is seeking a trims sourcing professional to support development, onboarding, and cost optimization across US-Asia teams. You will manage supplier relationships for trims such as zippers, buttons, and labels and help ensure on-time delivery aligned with PLC milestones.

The role requires 2-3 years in trims or textiles, a Fabric Technology diploma, and strong MS Office skills for data tracking and reporting.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of relevant experience in trims, garment/textiles design, development and/or production.
• Diploma or above credential in Fabric Technology or equivalent
• Background in developing and maintaining vendor and mill relationships
• Solid background in trims research, development, and analysis
• Exposure in vendor scorecarding and remedies development
• Experience in trims allocation, ordering & tracking, and product approvals
• Familiarity of Product Safety/Technology standards for children’s apparel and/or products
• Working experience in Children’s apparel would be an advantage
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel including Vlookup and pivot , PowerPoint, and Outlook)
• Good command of both verbal and written English skills

Responsibilities

• Act as the daily operational bridge between US and Asia sourcing teams to sync information.
• Maintain day-to-day business relationships with trims suppliers.
• Assist the Raw Materials team in onboarding new suppliers and executing different company programs.
• Gather and organize data to support supplier allocation strategies and future season planning.
• Track and monitor development milestones to ensure alignment with the broader product life cycle (PLC) calendar.
• Partner with Pre-Production, Technical, and QA teams during development to flag material risks early.
• Keep material cost sheets updated, perform basic cost analysis, and help identify savings opportunities.
• Collect vendor data to update scorecards and assist in seasonal vendor review meetings.
• Ordering trims for presentation sample; tracking & updating onto PLM
• Assist in updating and communicating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across teams.

Technical Skills:

• Ability to understand the design intent while keeping an eye on commercial viability.
• Able to identify risks (quality, safety, or delivery) early and escalated them to managers immediately.
• Good understanding of different trim manufacturing processes.
• Understanding of safety requirements (especially for kids' wear) to call out safety hazards and suggest alternatives.
• Basic knowledge of raw material costs and how they impact final garment profitability.
