Job summary

JazzWorld in Islamabad seeks a Manager Digital Solutions & Engineering to lead the technology strategy and end-to-end delivery for JLV’s digital platforms, including Simosa and Social+. You will define scalable, cloud-native architectures and drive secure, high‑performing products for millions of users.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, solution architecture, or digital platform engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/Software Engineering/IT; Master's preferred.
• Strong background in building enterprise-scale mobile and web apps and leading architecture.
• Experience leading architecture and development for large-scale digital platforms.
• Proven track record as Technical Product Owner, Solution Architect, or engineering lead.
• Deep knowledge of microservices, event-driven architectures, API-first design, and distributed systems.
• Strong cloud-native expertise across Kubernetes, Docker, and major cloud providers.
• Experience with CI/CD, DevSecOps, and security-by-design principles.
• Familiarity with Mobile app architectures (Android/iOS/Flutter/React Native).
• Knowledge of API Gateways, OAuth/OpenID, SSO, and secure integrations.
• Experience integrating analytics (Firebase/GA) and telemetry.
• Agile delivery, Scrum, Jira/Confluence, DevOps, and product management practices.
• Preference for experience evaluating AI/ML, Generative AI, and automation.

Responsibilities

• Own the overall technical architecture of the JLV ecosystem, ensuring reusable platform capabilities and standardized APIs.
• Lead as Lead Solution Architect across the JLV ecosystem for scalable, secure, cloud-native platforms.
• Drive end-to-end product development lifecycle from ideation to deployment and continuous improvement.
• Define engineering standards, architecture principles, coding practices, API governance, and security standards.
• Promote microservices, cloud-native architectures, CI/CD, DevSecOps, IaC, and automation.
• Lead architecture reviews, governance, and solution approvals for new initiatives.
• Evaluate platforms, frameworks, and third-party services for architectural improvements.
• Manage cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure timely delivery and quality.
• Ensure consistent UX, authentication, integrations, analytics, security, and platform capabilities across the ecosystem.
• Drive Agile delivery with backlog grooming, sprint planning, releases, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams for secure-by-design principles and compliance.
• Manage budgets, licensing, capacity planning, and vendor evaluations.
• Define non-functional requirements: scalability, availability, observability, maintainability, security.
• Identify opportunities to leverage AI, automation and intelligent services.

What is Manager Digital Solutions & Engineering?

To accelerate Jazz Lifestyle Ventures' digital transformation by architecting and delivering scalable, secure and customer‑centric digital products across the JLV ecosystem, with a primary focus on Simosa, Jazz's self‑care and lifestyle Super app and Social+, Pakistan's first community graph social platform. This role is responsible for leading the technology strategy, architecture and engineering execution for customer‑facing digital platforms across mobile, web, and emerging digital experiences, ensuring technology drives business growth, user engagement and ecosystem expansion.

The Manager Digital Solutions & Engineering will serve as the Lead Solution Architect for JLV's flagship digital products, defining scalable platform architecture, guiding engineering teams and driving end‑to‑end product delivery. The role requires deep expertise in modern software engineering, distributed systems, cloud‑native architecture and product development to transform business vision into resilient, high‑performing platforms serving millions of users while enabling rapid innovation, AI‑driven capabilities and seamless integration across the digital ecosystem.

The role reports directly to the Head of Digital Solutions & Innovation.

What does Manager Digital Solutions & Engineering do?

• Own the overall technical architecture of the JLV ecosystem, ensuring reusable platform capabilities, shared services, common APIs, and technology standardization across all digital products.
• Act as Lead Solution Architect across the JLV ecosystem, ensuring scalable, secure, reusable, and cloud‑native platform architecture.
• Lead end‑to‑end product development lifecycle from ideation, architecture, design, development, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement.
• Define engineering standards, architecture principles, coding practices, API governance, and security standards across all JLV products.
• Drive adoption of microservices, cloud‑native architectures, CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps, Infrastructure-as-Code, and automation.
• Lead architecture reviews, design discussions, technical governance, and solution approvals for new initiatives.
• Evaluate and recommend technology platforms, frameworks, cloud services, third‑party SDKs, and architectural improvements.
• Manage cross‑functional engineering teams, external development partners, and technology vendors to ensure timely and quality delivery.
• Ensure consistency in user experience, authentication, integrations, analytics, security, and platform capabilities across the JLV ecosystem.
• Drive Agile product delivery by leading backlog grooming, sprint planning, roadmap planning, release management, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Work closely with cybersecurity teams to ensure secure‑by‑design principles, compliance, vulnerability management, and platform resilience.
• Manage technology budgets, licensing, engineering capacity planning, and vendor technical evaluations.
• Define and enforce non‑functional architecture requirements including scalability, availability, resiliency, observability, maintainability, and security.
• Identify opportunities to leverage AI, automation, and intelligent services to enhance digital products and engineering productivity.

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive experience in Software Engineering, Solution Architecture, Technical Product Management, or Digital Platform Engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline. Master's degree is a plus.
• Strong software development background with hands‑on experience in designing and building enterprise‑scale mobile and web applications.
• Experience leading architecture and development for large‑scale digital platforms.
• Proven experience working as Technical Product Owner, Solution Architect, Engineering Lead, or Technical Product Manager.
• Strong understanding of software architecture patterns including Microservices, Event‑Driven Architecture, Domain Driven Design, API‑first architecture, and distributed systems.
• Strong expertise in cloud‑native technologies including Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or Alibaba Cloud.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines and implementing DevSecOps practices.
• Strong understanding of Mobile Application Architecture (Android, iOS, Flutter, React Native or similar technologies).
• Experience with API Gateways, Identity Management, OAuth, OpenID Connect, SSO, and secure API integrations.
• Experience integrating Analytics platforms including Firebase, Google Analytics, or equivalent.
• Strong experience with Agile delivery, Scrum, Jira, Confluence, DevOps, and Product Management methodologies.
• Experience evaluating and integrating AI/ML capabilities, Generative AI services, recommendation engines, and intelligent automation is preferred.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, and vendor management skills.
