Job summary

BAT Pakistan, through Pakistan Tobacco Company in Jhelum, seeks a Maintenance Lead - VELO to drive daily maintenance, reliability and compliance on production lines.

You will plan and implement PM strategies, mentor shop teams, analyze breakdown trends, and coordinate cross-functional repairs while embracing BAT’s safety and improvement culture. A technical degree in electrical/electronics and ≥3 years of manufacturing maintenance are required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in electrical/electronics engineering.
• ≥3 years in manufacturing electrical maintenance.
• Strong electrical maintenance expertise.
• Experience with preventive and breakdown maintenance.
• Ability to mentor shop floor staff.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, unionized, innovation-focused setting.
• Proficient with Excel and basic MS Office.
• Familiar with PM and DMS maintenance systems.

Pakistan Tobacco Company has an exciting opportunity for an Maintenance Lead - VELO in Jhelum

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Lead daily maintenance planning and troubleshooting for production lines
• Reduce unplanned downtime and drive equipment reliability improvements
• Own and implement preventive maintenance (PM) strategies and systems
• Mentor and guide operating teams on fundamental maintenance and issue resolution
• Analyze breakdown trends and lead root-cause elimination efforts
• Liaise with cross-functional teams for scheduling and prioritizing repairs
• Ensure compliance with machine safety standards and factory protocols
• Contribute to the formulation of enduring maintenance plans and annual scheduling

What are we looking for?

• Technical diploma or degree in electrical or electronics engineering
• At least 3 years of experience within a manufacturing electrical maintenance position
• Strong technical expertise in electrical maintenance
• Hands-on experience in preventive and breakdown maintenance
• Proven ability to mentor and develop others on the shop floor
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Capacity to thrive in a rapid-paced, unionized, and innovation-focused setting
• Computer literacy and basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity with modern maintenance systems (e.g., PM, DMS)
