Job summary

Pakistan Tobacco Company in Jhelum, Pakistan, seeks a Maintenance Lead to coordinate machine maintenance and drive efficiency across operations.

The role requires a Mechanical Engineering background (Bachelors/DAE/B-Tech) and 1–3 years in maintenance, plus knowledge of Power BI and SAP; familiarity with cigarette manufacturing technologies and SAP-based preventive maintenance is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree, DAE or B-Tech preferably in Mechanical Engineering.
• 1–3 years of experience in a maintenance role.
• Knowledge of data analytics systems like Power BI and SAP Systems.
• Must have knowledge of maintenance strategies.
• Familiar with cigarette manufacturing technologies and standard operation/maintenance methods.
• Experience with SAP-based preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and complete machinery maintenance, including breakdown and preventive maintenance, to ensure continuous machine operation.
• Plan and carry out quality improvement initiatives in cooperation with other departments.
• Detect training gaps and provide feedback for skill growth and employee performance.
• Plan and complete machine conversions to meet market demand per the Master Production Schedule.
• Monitor spare parts consumption and maintain availability.
• Implement guidelines and knowledge sharing with other functions and factories within Operations.
• Ensure execution of maintenance activities to achieve production and quality targets.

Pakistan Tobacco Company has an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Lead in Jhelum, Pakistan

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Coordinate and complete machinery maintenance, including breakdown and preventive maintenance, to ensure continuous machine operation.
• Plan and carry out quality improvement initiatives in cooperation with other departments.
• Detect training gaps and deliver frequent feedback for skill growth and promote steady advancement in employee performance.
• Plan and complete machine conversions to meet market demand as per the Master Production Schedule.
• Monitor spare parts consumption and maintain availability.
• Seek feedback from the SMD team to improve maintenance quality and complete suggested actions.
• Complete standardization of machinery through modifications for quality, safety, and efficiency improvement.
• Develop and implement guidelines, common platforms, and knowledge sharing with other functions and factories within Operations.
• Ensure execution of maintenance activities to achieve production and quality targets.

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor's Degree, DAE or B-Tech preferably in Mechanical Engineering
• 1-3 years of experience in a maintenance role
• Knowledge of data analytics systems like Power BI and SAP Systems
• Must have knowledge of maintenance strategies
• Candidate must have knowledge of cigarette manufacturing technologies and be familiar with common operation and maintenance methods for this equipment.
• Well experienced in SAP based preventive maintenance
