Job summary

Ziauddin University seeks an academic to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels in Education. The role includes supervising students, developing learning materials, and contributing to research outputs consistent with staff reviews.

The candidate should have strong knowledge in Educational Psychology, Curriculum & Instruction, Assessment, and Classroom Management, with PhD preferred and MPhil/MS required. Expect collaboration with Deans, HODs and Faculty to enhance learning experiences.

Qualifications

• Minimum: M.Phil./MS in Education or a relevant discipline from an HEC-recognized university.
• Preferred: PhD in Education or a relevant field.
• Academic Background: Strong knowledge of Education, Educational Psychology, Curriculum & Instruction, Assessment, Classroom Management, or related areas.
• Additional Qualification: Professional teaching qualifications/certifications and training in educational technology, assessment, or teacher education an asset.

Responsibilities

• To teach at undergraduate and graduate level in areas allocated by the Head of Department.
• To supervise or assist with supervision of undergraduate and graduate students.
• To provide pastoral care and support to students.
• To carry out research and produce publications or other outputs in line with staff review objectives.
• To assist in development of learning materials, schemes of work and monitor student progress.
• Perform administrative duties within the Faculty and university (e.g., class advisor, invigilator, proctor).
• To participate in development, administration and marking of exams and other assessments.
• Maintain awareness of fire and health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with Deans, HODs and Faculty to improve services to students.
• Lead development and implementation of the student learning experience strategy.

Qualification

Experience

• Teaching Experience: Minimum 2 years of teaching experience at the university or college level in Education or a relevant discipline.
• Subject Expertise: Experience teaching courses such as Educational Psychology, Curriculum Development, Classroom Management, Assessment, and Teaching Methodologies.
• Academic Responsibilities: Experience in lesson planning, assessment development, student mentoring, academic advising, and curriculum implementation.
• Research Experience: Familiarity with educational research, academic writing, data analysis, and research supervision is preferred.

Job Description
