Job summary

Midas Safety Pakistan seeks a Lead R&D for Fabrics & Yarns based in Faisalabad, Pakistan. The role leads end-to-end new product development from concept to launch, coordinating cross-functional teams and guiding research into market trends.

The ideal candidate holds an MSc in Textile or MS in Advance Materials with 8–10 years of relevant experience in yarns and fabrics, testing standards and quality control, delivering differentiated products.

Qualifications

• M.Sc. (Textile) or MS in Advance Materials is required.
• 8–10 years of relevant experience.
• Deep knowledge of yarns, fabrics, testing standards, and quality control.

Responsibilities

• To lead and coordinate all aspects of new product development from request receiving to product launch.
• To monitor product validation process after approval on prototypes and ensure product to be ready to launch.
• To carry out research on market trends and develop differentiated products to meet the changing customer needs.
• Supervise developments of new yarns in ring and open-end spinning.
• Supervise fabric developments of both woven and knitted (In-house and Outsource).
• To coordinate with suppliers for development of new materials for better cost savings and new features in the product and processes.
• To coordinate cross functional efforts to develop strategic vision of new product development to create comprehensive product portfolio.
• To work with research institutes and Universities for long term projects to get strategic insight for future trends and needs to prioritize and monitor project executions as per customer requests and business need to focus on high impact and high value opportunities/outcomes
