Job summary

Stewart Pakistan Private Limited in Lahore seeks a hands-on Lead AI Architect to own the technical direction of our AI platforms. You will prototype, build, and guide engineering teams, taking AI concepts from POC to production.

You’ll define the architecture and roadmaps for multi-agent systems, integrate RAG and vector databases, mentor engineers, balance cost and compliance, and collaborate with risk and security stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• 4+ years of AI/LLM engineering.
• Experience building agentic AI systems and frameworks like LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, AutoGen, CrewAI, or Orleans.
• Proven ability to take AI platforms from idea/POC to production.
• Experience in regulated or compliance-sensitive environments (NPI, data residency, model/vendor sovereignty).
• Strong technical leadership and mentoring experience.
• Excellent communication with technical and business stakeholders.
• Hands-on with Python or C# and Azure, distributed systems, APIs, and microservices.
• Experience with Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, RAG architectures, vector databases.
• Experience working with risk, compliance, and security stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define architecture and roadmap for the AI platform, including agent platforms, durable agents, enterprise context, evaluation, observability, security, and model integration.
• Design multi-agent and orchestration architectures and establish reusable standards for communication, memory, context, identity/authorization, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
• Architect enterprise context solutions using RAG, Graph RAG, semantic search, knowledge bases, and enterprise data integration.
• Develop reference architectures and evaluate emerging AI tools, frameworks, and technologies.
• Stay hands-on by prototyping complex solutions and taking POCs toward production-grade implementations.
• Mentor AI engineers and provide technical leadership across the team.
• Make architectural decisions while balancing business needs, cost, time, compliance, security, and regulatory requirements.
• Help build and grow the AI engineering team.
