Job summary

Frontier Works Organization is seeking a geologist to supervise day-to-day diamond core drilling and geological activities at exploration drill sites in Balochistan. You will monitor borehole depth, core recovery, and QA/QC, while coordinating with contractors and field technicians.

The role requires MS/BS in Geology and 4–6 years of post-qualification experience, with strong teamwork, safety, and data-management skills in remote terrain.

Job description

Supervise day-to-day diamond core drilling andgeological activities at exploration drill sites.

Monitor drilling progress, borehole depth,drilling conditions, core recovery, RQD, and geological changes.

Conduct systematic geological logging of drillcore.

Accurately record core recovery and RQD andmaintain standardized geological codes.

Identify and document base-metal mineralization

Characterize hydrothermal alterationassemblages

Supervise geological sampling, core cutting,sample preparation, labeling, bagging and dispatch.

Review assay and analytical results andcorrelate them with geological observations.

Conduct or supervise core orientation andstructural measurements.

Coordinate and review downhole deviationsurveys

Utilize pXRF and other field analytical toolsfor preliminary geological and geochemical assessment where applicable.

Maintain accurate drill-hole geologicaldatabases, logs, sample registers and assay records.

Assist in drill-hole planning, collarselection, azimuth/dip determination and target evaluation.

Provide geological recommendations for infill,extension and follow-up drilling.

Prepare daily, weekly and monthlydrilling/geological reports.

Prepare geological logs, sections,mineralized-zone summaries and drilling progress reports.

Coordinate effectively with drillingcontractors, exploration geologists, surveyors, drilling engineers and fieldtechnicians.

Monitor and report drilling problems such ascore loss, fluid loss, hole collapse, fractured/sheared ground, difficultformations and stuck rods.

Ensure geological activities comply withcompany HSE, QA/QC and exploration procedures.

Supervise junior geologists, geologicaltechnicians and core-logging personnel when required

Experience

4-6 Yrs post qual experience.
