Job summary

Raqami Bank seeks a Junior Data Scientist in its Data Science Department to support development of machine learning, credit risk modelling, and AI solutions by preparing reliable data and building models. You will analyze data, develop and validate models under guidance, create dashboards in Power BI, and communicate findings to business stakeholders while maintaining clean code and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of relevant professional experience in data science, analytics, machine learning, credit risk modelling, or credit scoring may be considered.
• Practical exposure to developing, validating, or monitoring credit risk models or scorecards is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business, customer, and operational data to identify patterns and actionable insights.
• Clean, transform, and validate structured data using Python, SQL, and Excel.
• Assist in developing, testing, and improving supervised machine learning models.
• Support the development and monitoring of credit risk models and scorecards.
• Develop automation scripts and simple bots to reduce repetitive work.
• Prepare reports and dashboards for stakeholders.
• Present findings clearly and translate results into business decisions.
• Maintain organized code, data definitions, and model documentation.
