Job summary

World Food Programme in Pakistan is seeking an IT Operations Officer (Digital Services) to support the development of efficient IT solutions that enable staff to deliver food assistance. The role requires strong technical expertise and alignment with WFP's strategy to ensure secure IT operations.

Ideal candidates will have an advanced IT degree and 3 years of professional experience, with fluency in English and Urdu.

Qualifications

Advanced university degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Development or related field is desirable.
Fluency in English and Urdu is required.

Responsibilities

Contribute to plans and budgets and manage IT/TC deployments aligned with business needs.
Monitor and maintain IT/TC systems and networks with data security and access controls.
Prepare technical specifications and tender documents for IT equipment and services.
Analyze data to prepare reports on IT/TC activities and costs.
Maintain technical expertise and stay updated with industry developments.
Provide advice to managers and users and ensure IT policies are applied.
Supervise junior staff and design training programs.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand needs and provide solutions.
Follow emergency preparedness practices and respond to crises as needed.
Document business requirements and ensure traceability to source requirements.
