Job summary

Teknosys is seeking an IT Operations Engineer in Islamabad to ensure stability, availability, and performance of enterprise systems. The role is proactive, focusing on incident resolution, cross-functional collaboration, and maintaining service levels.

You will participate in rotation shifts and on-call schedules to provide 24/7 production support, monitor environments, and contribute to deployments and automation initiatives. Bachelor’s degree required with 0–2 years of experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or related field.
• 0-2 years of experience in application support, technical support, or system administration.
• Proficiency in Linux and Windows Server operating systems.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, Datadog) and basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS, Firewalls).
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and understanding of incident management, SLAs and ITIL frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Provide L1/L2 technical support for enterprise systems and customer-facing applications.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve application, hardware, and infrastructure-related issues.
• Monitor production environments, respond to alerts, and perform root cause analysis (RCA).
• Escalate critical issues while maintaining end-to-end ownership of incidents.
• Utilize monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, Datadog) to track system health and performance.
• Support deployments, releases, and operational maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with development, networking, and system administration teams to resolve cross-functional issues.
• Recommend improvements to enhance system stability, automation, and operational efficiency.
• Contribute to automation and operational excellence initiatives.
• Maintain and update knowledge base articles, SOPs, runbooks, and troubleshooting guides.
• Participate in rotational shifts, weekend coverage, and on-call support to ensure 24/7 operations.

You may be a strong fit if you

• Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field


• Bring 0-2 years of experience in application support, technical support, or system administration


• Proficiencyin Linux and Windows Server operating systems.
