This is a hands-on infrastructure internship. You won't just be resetting passwords or plugging in cables. You will work alongside our senior IT engineers to design, deploy, monitor, and secure the systems that power our entire organization.
This role is perfect for a CS/IT grad who loves Linux, networking, the cloud, and automation. Upon successful completion, you will transition into a permanent Junior IT Engineer or Systems Administrator role, taking ownership of critical infrastructure components.
Key Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Assist in deploying, configuring, and maintaining servers (Windows/Linux) both on-premise and in the cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Networking: Support network configuration, including routing, switching, firewalls, and VPNs to ensure seamless connectivity.
- Cloud Operations: Help manage cloud resources, virtual machines, containers (Docker/Kubernetes), and storage solutions.
- Automation & Scripting: Write scripts (Python, Bash, or PowerShell) to automate repetitive system administration tasks and deployments (Infrastructure as Code).
- Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Proactively monitor system performance, uptime, and security alerts. Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in real-time.
- Security: Implement basic cybersecurity best practices—patching systems, managing user access controls, and assisting with vulnerability assessments.
- Backup & Disaster Recovery: Ensure regular backups are performed and assist in testing recovery protocols.
What We Are Looking For (The Fresh Grad)
- Education: Recent graduate (0–1 year) with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Operating Systems: Solid understanding of Linux (Ubuntu/CentOS) and Windows Server environments.
- Networking Basics: Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/HTTPS, and firewall fundamentals.
- Scripting: Basic proficiency in at least one scripting language (Bash, Python, or PowerShell).
- Cloud Curiosity: Familiarity with any cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a strong plus (even if just from personal projects or certifications).
- Problem-Solver: You love puzzles. When a server goes down or a network times out, you don't panic—you debug.
