Job summary

UNDP Pakistan, through the Flood Recovery Programme (FRP), seeks a Project Engineering Analyst based in Quetta to plan, design, implement and monitor civil works for flood recovery, including feasibility studies, BoQs, cost estimates, and supervision of third‑party firms.

The role requires advanced civil engineering qualifications, strong project management and field coordination with contractors, government partners and donors, ensuring compliance with UNDP DoA and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Advanced university degree (master's degree or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Architecture or related field is required.
• Alternatively, a first-level university degree with two years of qualifying experience will be considered in lieu of the advanced degree.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, implement and monitor civil works for the Flood Recovery Programme (FRP).
• Prepare feasibility studies, Bills of Quantities and cost estimates; support procurement and oversee construction.
• Coordinate with stakeholders, monitor progress, and ensure quality and timeliness of works.
• Oversee third‑party engineering firms, provide technical guidance, and ensure compliance with UNDP rules and regulations.
• Support knowledge sharing and capacity building within the team and with national personnel.

Education

Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture

Bachelor's degree + 2 years' relevant experience
