Job summary

UNDP in Pakistan is seeking a Project Engineering Analyst for the Flood Recovery Programme (FRP) based in Quetta. The role covers planning, design, procurement support, and on‑site supervision of civil works to deliver key flood recovery outputs.

The ideal candidate holds an advanced degree in civil engineering or architecture or a relevant bachelor’s degree with additional experience. Strong coordination with stakeholders and adherence to safety standards are essential.

Qualifications

Advanced university degree (master’s degree or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Architecture or related field is required.
A first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in the areas mentioned above, in combination with an additional two years of qualifying experience will be given due consideration in lieu of the advanced university degree.

Responsibilities

Plan, design, implement and monitor civil works projects for the Flood Recovery Programme (FRP).
Lead procurement support for civil works and oversee third‑party monitoring firms.
Manage contractors, assess progress, and ensure compliance with UNDP DoA and safety standards.
Certify invoices, conduct final inspections, and prepare completion reports.
Support knowledge sharing, reporting and archiving, and provide training to national personnel.
