Job summary

INTECH Automation Intelligence is seeking a Design & Application Engineer to join our team. You will design hardware for DCS, SIS, and FGS, analyze customer specs, and contribute to automation projects across Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Utilities, and Renewable Energy.

The role includes implementing hardware, supporting network architecture and cybersecurity, preparing design docs, and participating in FAT/SAT, commissioning, and startup activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related field.
• 4–6 years of work experience in Industrial Automation & Controls.
• Proven experience in hardware design for specialized control systems including DCS, SIS, and FGS.
• Experience with wellhead control panels, skids, and solar systems is preferred.
• Strong understanding of industrial standards, instrumentation, and control system principles.
• Experience with system testing, FAT, and site work including commissioning and startup.
• Hands-on experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interpret and discuss technical information.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement hardware for DCS, SIS, and FGS control systems.
• Ensure adherence to major industrial standards throughout project phases.
• Understand instrumentation and how systems function.
• Analyze customer specs (FRS, P&IDs, C&Es, drawings) to gather project data.
• Support industrial network architecture and cybersecurity measures.
• Prepare, review, and maintain engineering docs (FDS, FAT/SAT, manuals).
• Participate in factory and site activities (FAT, SAT, commissioning, startup, handover).
• Ensure compliance with project specs, standards, and client requirements.
