PsychPlus is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Hospital Operations Specialist to support day-to-day hospital operations, healthcare documentation, revenue cycle management, and coordination across clinical, billing, and administrative teams. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with healthcare systems, strong knowledge of medical billing and documentation, and excellent analytical and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support hospital operations using EMR/EHR systems and healthcare portals.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and conduct basic documentation and compliance audits.
- Apply knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, medical billing requirements, and healthcare documentation standards.
- Support and coordinate the end-to-end Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) process, including eligibility verification, authorizations, coding, claims, denials, and follow-up.
- Coordinate with hospital leadership, clinical teams, billing departments, and internal stakeholders to identify and resolve operational and documentation-related issues.
- Monitor operational workflows and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies and process gaps.
- Prepare reports, analyze operational data, and present findings to relevant stakeholders.
- Use Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis, including VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, formulas, reporting, and data presentation.
- Maintain strict standards of accuracy, confidentiality, organization, and attention to detail across all hospital operations.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at various organizational levels and maintain strong professional relationships.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Hands-on experience working with EMR/EHR systems and healthcare portals.
- Strong understanding of CPT, ICD-10, medical billing, and healthcare documentation.
- Working knowledge of Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) and healthcare claims processes.
- Experience coordinating with clinical, billing, administrative, and leadership teams.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, formulas, data analysis, and reporting.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
- High level of accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
