Job summary

Indus Hospital is seeking a Technologist for Histopathology in Clinical Laboratories. The role requires 2–3 years of hands-on experience in histopathology and a BS - MLT degree. The position follows a rotational shift schedule including morning, evening, and night.

Responsibilities include processing specimens, maintaining equipment and documentation, and assisting pathologists while training new staff. Compliance with SOPs and safety regulations is essential.

Qualifications

• BS - MLT degree required.
• 2–3 years of experience as a Technologist in Histopathology.
• Rotational shift: Morning, Evening & Night.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process histopathology and cytology specimens through grossing, embedding, microtomy, staining, mounting, and slide/block preparation as per SOPs.
• Operate, clean, sterilize, and maintain laboratory equipment while ensuring routine maintenance and quality control compliance.
• Receive, label, file, retrieve, and distribute specimens, blocks, slides, and pathology reports while maintaining accurate documentation.
• Assist pathologists during grossing procedures, exercise judgment in technical issues, and support training/orientation of students and new staff.
• Maintain strict confidentiality, follow departmental policies and SOPs, and ensure proper disposal of hazardous chemical waste as per regulatory guidelines.
