Job summary

Liaquat National Hospital in Karachi seeks an experienced HIMS Supervisor to drive quality and compliance in Health Information Management. You will supervise all HIMS sections, develop and implement policies and QMS documentation, and ensure ISO readiness for audits.

The role requires training staff on SOPs, new processes, and ISO awareness; conducting periodic audits; and maintaining accurate records to support management reviews and continuous improvement initiatives across the hospital.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree and 4–5 years of relevant work experience.
• Working knowledge of ISO standards and QMS.
• Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Job description

• Supervise all HIMS sections, ensuring strict adherence to policies, procedures and confidentiality guidelines driving continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
• Act as a primary liaison with other departments to maintain and manage routine operations.
• Assist in the development, drafting and implementation of HIMS related policies and QMS documentation, ensuring easy accessibility and readiness for management reviews and ISO audits.
• Assist in training sessions for HIMS staff on standard operating procedures (SOPs), new process implementation, and ISO awareness/requirements.
• Conduct periodic audits of health record files and HIMS processes to ensure compliance with both internal quality standards and ISO requirements.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, reports, and other relevant documentation.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Master’s degree in Biological Sciences / Hospital / Healthcare management / related field with 4 to 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Working knowledge of ISO standards and Quality Management Systems (QMS).
• Good verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
