Job summary

  • Fresh candidate, preferably 01 year of experience.

  • Monitor patients' vital signs, height & weight after competency, document and report to duty staff or doctor if readings are outside normal ranges.
  • Assist with patient admission, transfer, discharge, and transportation.
  • Assist with specimen collection, patient positioning, wound-care support, and other assigned activities.
  • Assist patients with bathing, hygiene, feeding, mobility, positioning, toileting, and comfort to bed-bound patients.

Job Description

Report in time on duty as per schedule shift and provide direct supportive care to patients under the supervision of the nursing team.

Support timely patient care and continuity of services; ensure completion of assigned tasks and follow-up.

Monitor patients' vital signs, height & weight after competency, document and report to the duty staff or doctor if reading are high /low then normal ranges.

Provide orientation to the patient/attendant about visiting policy, patient bed operation such as side rails, bed paddle, call bell, bed surrounding, meal timing and hospital facility.

On admission give hygiene kit & hospital dress and advise to change hospital dress after bath.

Assist with patient admission, transfer, discharge, and transportation.

Assist transportation of patients' after covering with top sheet and raise side rails to prevent fall.

Change patient bedding & hospital dress daily / in shifts / as needed and return dirty linen in linen hamper.

Prepare patients, equipment, and supplies for procedures.

Assist with specimen collection, patient positioning, wound-care support, and other assigned activities.

Assist patients with bathing, hygiene, feeding, mobility, positioning, toileting, and comfort to bed bond patient BUT not on ventilated patients independently.

Help in application of padded restraints if ordered by doctor for shorter while on non-cooperative patients during certain procedures.

Empty patients' urine bags per shift or as ordered, do urine testing as per physician order, drain urine in designated drainage and rinse jug and replace at designated place.

Support the nursing team during labour, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care activities within scope.

Assist in effective patient handover and coordination of services.

Maintain effective communication with nursing staff, physicians, patients, families, and support departments.

Ensure appropriate availability and utilization of patient-care supplies and equipment.

Report shortages, damage, malfunction, or expiry of supplies and equipment.

Comply with hand hygiene, PPE, waste segregation, and infection prevention practices.

Comply with IHHN policies, SOPs, clinical protocols, safety standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.

Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized patient-care environment.

Maintain patient safety, dignity, privacy, confidentiality, and rights at all times.

Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, accountability, compassion, and respect in all patient-care activities.

Uphold IHHN's mission, values, ethics, and patient-centered care standards.

Perform any other task assigned by the immediate Supervisor that is commensurate with your knowledge and skills.
