Job summary

Chase Value and Eminent in Karachi seeks a seasoned General Manager – Merchandising to lead the complete merchandising function, accountable for product, sourcing, merchandise planning, buying, inventory and commercial performance across a multi-category retail portfolio.

As a key Management Committee member, you will shape strategy, drive end-to-end sourcing, vendor management, demand forecasting and assortment plans, while ensuring optimal stock and profitability.

Qualifications

• 10–15+ years of senior merchandising leadership experience.
• Strong understanding of margins, inventory, and profitability.
• Strategic, analytical, and decision‑making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead merchandising strategy and commercial direction for Chase Value and Eminent.
• Oversee end-to-end sourcing, product development, fabric procurement, production, QA, and vendor management.
• Lead merchandise planning, demand forecasting, and inventory investment.
• Drive category strategy, range strategy, and buying decisions based on market trends and business performance.
• Own inventory productivity, replenishment, stock availability, ageing and liquidation strategies.
• Monitor sales, margin and profitability with focus on LFL growth and KPIs.
• Lead cost management, negotiation and cost optimization while maintaining quality.
• Monitor performance through sales, inventory, profitability and MIS/ERP analytics.
• Ensure timely in-house availability of products aligned with assortment plans and drop calendars.
• Partner with Supply Chain, Retail, E-Commerce and Marketing for seamless execution.
• Lead, mentor and develop the merchandising team and contribute to Management Committee decisions.
