Job summary

HugoBank is seeking a senior leader to head the Management Audit unit, delivering independent, risk-based assurance across functions and processes. You will plan and supervise engagements, ensure SBP and IIA standards compliance, and report findings to stakeholders.

The role requires 8–10 years in banking or external audit with leadership experience and strong knowledge of governance and risk frameworks. Master’s degree preferred and CIA/ACCA/CA/CPA certifications are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Professional certifications such as CIA, ACCA, CA or CPA.

Responsibilities

• Leads the Management Audit unit delivering independent, risk-based assurance.
• Plans and supervises audit engagements in line with SBP requirements and IIA standards.
• Drafts reports with risk-rated findings and practical recommendations.
• Tracks management action plans and escalates overdue/high-risk items.
• Applies/ improves audit methodology and introduces data analytics where practical.
