Job summary

Hugo Bank is seeking a leader to head the Management Audit unit, delivering independent, risk-based assurance over the bank's functions, processes, policies and governance. The role plans and supervises audit engagements, ensures SBP and IIA standards compliance, and reports findings.

Essential duties include developing the annual audit plan, supervising audits of a digital bank, reviewing controls, drafting reports with risk-rated findings, and tracking action plans while applying QA and data

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; Master’s preferred.
• Professional certifications such as CIA, ACCA, CA or CPA.
• 8–10 years of relevant experience in banking or external audit.
• 3–4 years leading audit teams in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of SBP regulatory framework and banking operations.
• Familiarity with IIA standards, COSO and IFRS as applicable to banks.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of audits, ensuring risk-based approach.
• Review design and operating effectiveness of controls and policies.
• Draft risk-rated audit reports with actionable recommendations.
• Track management action plans and validate closure of findings.
• Introduce data analytics and continuous auditing techniques.
