Job summary

JazzWorld in Islamabad seeks a Head Transport Network Operations to own the availability, resilience and performance of the transport and data center networks across Optical, IP, Microwave and VSAT. You will lead large-scale operations, drive automation and optimization, and shape the network roadmap for tomorrow.

This leadership role requires combining deep technical expertise with strategic thinking, commercial acumen and strong people leadership to keep today's network running flawlessly

Qualifications

• 15+ years of telecom/networking experience, incl. 8+ years in leadership.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related.
• Deep expertise across IP/MPLS, DWDM/Optical, Microwave, Ethernet and transmission.
• Understanding Cloud Networking, IPv6, automation and modern network architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Transport and Data Center Network Operations across Optical, IP, Microwave and VSAT.
• Shape and transform the network with optimization, automation and tech initiatives.
• Own service integration across Telco, Enterprise, IGW, Optical and Data Center networks.
• Lead incident response, RCA and continuous improvement to reduce MTTR.
• Drive vendor decisions, CAPEX/OPEX planning and cost optimization.
• Governance for resilience, disaster recovery and safe network changes.
• Turn network data into insights on availability, incidents and utilization.
• Build and mentor a high-performing operations team with a culture of ownership.
