Job summary

Frontier Works Organization seeks a Senior Finance Lead for a mining project site in Nokundi. You will oversee budgeting, cash flow, OPEX/CAPEX, and all accounting operations while ensuring regulatory compliance and robust internal controls.

The role requires ACCA/ICMA/CA or equivalent with 16+ years post-qualification experience, supervising finance staff and coordinating with management, procurement, HR, and head office. On-site placement with full-time duties and a dynamic project team.

Qualifications

• ACCA, ICMA, CA, MS (Fin) required.
• Finalist status for ACCA/ICMA/CA acceptable.
• Minimum 16 years post-qualification experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the entire Finance Section at the mining project site, ensuring effective financial planning, accounting, and control of all financial activities.
• Prepare, monitor, and control project budgets, cash flow forecasts, operational expenditures (OPEX), and capital expenditures (CAPEX).
• Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements.
• Monitor project expenditures, analyze budget variances, control operating costs, and ensure efficient utilization of financial resources.
• Supervise vendor payments, employee-related financial transactions, cash management, fund requirements, and timely settlement of financial obligations.
• Ensure compliance with applicable tax laws, statutory requirements, accounting standards, company policies, and internal control procedures.
• Manage and supervise finance staff, allocate responsibilities, and coordinate with project management, procurement, HR, administration, and head office.
• Submit periodic financial reports to senior management, highlight financial risks, recommend cost-saving measures, and support strategic decision-making for the mining project.
