Job summary

Frontier Works Organization is seeking a seasoned accounting professional to manage the finance function, including preparation of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls. You will oversee GL, month-end close, variances, and MIS reporting for senior management, while ensuring IFRS/local GAAP compliance and alignment with organizational policies.

The role includes coordinating with auditors, banks, and departments, mentoring staff, and driving process improvements

Qualifications

• MBA/ ACCA degree or equivalent accounting qualification.
• Articles with an audit firm preferable.
• SAP or any ERP experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Oversee general ledger, journal entries, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets accounting.
• Ensure books are closed timely and reconcile bank, intercompany, and balance sheet accounts.
• Support statutory and management audits (internal/external).
• Ensure adherence to IFRS/local GAAP and accounting policies.

Job description

• Prepare, review, and finalize monthly, quarterly, annual financial statements.
• Oversee general ledger, journal entries, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets accounting.
• Ensure books are closed timely: manage reconciliation of bank, intercompany, balance sheet accounts.
• Support statutory & management audits (internal/ external).
• Ensure accounting policies (incl. IFRS/ local GAAP) are adhered to.
• Lead/ assist in annual budgeting process in coordination with departments.
• Develop periodic forecasts and updates based on actuals, trends, and business drivers.
• Perform variance analysis: Actual vs Budget vs Prior Periods; highlight causes and suggest corrective actions.
• Produce Management information system (MIS) reports/ dashboard for senior management.
• Maintain and improve internal control systems: policies, procedures, approvals.
• Ensure compliance with organizational finance policies.
• Monitor cash flow, prepare cash projections / forecast to maintain liquidity.
• Manage bank relationships, treasury activities, funding, and investments matters (if applicable).
• Overseeing accounts receivable, payable & ensure optimal working capital.
• Supervise finance/ accounting staff; assign tasks; ensure training and development.
• Review work of subordinates; ensure accuracy & timeliness.
• Contribute to performance appraisals; mentor junior team members.
• Coordinate with other departments to gather data for budgeting, forecasting, reporting.
• Liaise with external auditors, statutory bodies, banks.
• Support senior management in financial processes and drive improvements.
• Help in implementing/ maintaining ERP/ accounting systems.
• Ensure documentation & workflows are clear and updated
• Provide analysis/ business cases for new initiatives/ investments.
• Support Strategic planning/ financial modeling.
• Handle special projects (e.g. mergers, system migration, regulatory changes).
