Job summary

Pintern in Lahore seeks a Trainee Research Associate (R&D) to support enzyme production, product development, and processing in a strict, regulated setting.

You will work on coordinating R&D activities, maintaining cultures, overseeing fermentation, and generating technical documentation while collaborating with Production, QA/QC, and Accounts. Bachelor’s or M.Phil in Microbiology and familiarity with ASME/API/ASTM standards are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or M.Phil in Microbiology.
• Familiarity with industry standards such as ASME, API, or ASTM is essential to ensure compliance and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate R&D efforts in enzyme production and process development.
• Develop and optimize the enzyme product portfolio; perform technical evaluations.
• Maintain and supervise production cultures for inoculum development in fermentation.
• Oversee fermentation, enzyme recovery, downstream processing, concentration and storage.
• Prepare and update TDS, production records, and SOPs.
• Monitor lab and production activities to ensure cross-department collaboration.
• Track lab expenses and coordinate with accounts on budget.
• Coordinate with procurement on chemical and consumable orders.
• Ensure proper operation and routine maintenance of lab instruments.
