Job summary

Rashid Latif Khan Group in Lahore seeks an experienced educator to teach MBBS students and conduct lectures, tutorials, and SGDs. The role includes hands-on laboratory instruction and involvement in research activities under PMDC/HEC frameworks.

The candidate will oversee exam-related tasks, participate in inter-departmental sessions, and assist in managing laboratory resources, while pursuing faculty development and professional growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• MBBS degree from a recognized institution.
• Valid PMDC registration.
• Completed house job from a recognized teaching hospital.

Responsibilities

• Teaching and lecture delivery: Prepare and conduct formal lectures, tutorials, and SGDs as assigned.
• Practical instruction: Conduct laboratory sessions and practical classes as per the integrated PMDC/University curriculum.
• Research engagement: Perform and document original research; assist senior faculty in data collection and manuscript preparation for HEC-recognized journals.
• Examination and invigilation: Assist in OSPE/OSCE stations and internal assessment records; conduct invigilations and assist in marking papers.
• Inter-/intra-departmental coordination: Participate in joint academic sessions with other basic and clinical departments; attend departmental meetings.
• Lab management: Oversee the maintenance of laboratory equipment and ensure availability of reagents and consumables.
• Regulatory compliance: Maintain attendance registers, logbooks, and internal assessment records as mandated by PMDC and University standards.
• Professional development: Mentor junior demonstrators and participate in Faculty Development Programs.
• Any other task assigned by the management.

Job Description

• Teaching & Lecture Delivery: Prepare and conduct formal lectures, tutorials, and Small Group Discussions SGDs as assigned, utilizing modern pedagogical tools to ensure student engagement.
• Practical Instruction: Conduct laboratory sessions and practical classes as per the integrated PMDC/University curriculum.
• Research Engagement: Actively perform and document original research; assist senior faculty in data collection and manuscript preparation for HEC-recognized journals.
• Examination & Invigilation: Assist in the preparation of OSPE/OSCE stations and internal assessment records; conduct examination invigilations and assist in the marking of papers.
• Inter/Intra-Departmental Coordination: Participate in joint academic sessions with other basic and clinical departments to support horizontal/vertical integration; attend departmental meetings and contribute to shared academic goals.
• Lab Management: Oversee the maintenance of laboratory equipment and ensure the availability of reagents and consumables e.g., microscopy in Pathology, chemical reagents in Biochemistry.
• Regulatory Compliance: Maintain meticulous attendance registers, logbooks, and internal assessment records as mandated by PMDC and University standards.
• Professional Development: For Senior Demonstrators Mentor junior demonstrators and actively participate in Faculty Development Programs FDPs.
• Any other task assigned by the management.
