Job summary

leading-edge is seeking a DATA ANALYST OR BUSINESS ANALYST to join our Karachi team. The role involves developing IFRS-9 Expected Credit Loss models, leveraging ML techniques, and translating risk insights into data-driven decisions.

You will work with Python/R/SQL, build visualizations, and present findings to stakeholders. The position is a 1- to 2-year contract/bond with a budget of 200k in local currency.

Qualifications

• Degree in Data Science with strong analytical capabilities.
• 0–1 year of experience in data analysis or related roles.
• Proficiency in Python, R or SQL for data manipulation.
• Experience with visualization tools like Tableau/Power BI; big data knowledge is a plus.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop IFRS-9 ECL modeling for PDs, LGD, Basel guidelines.

Position DATA ANALYST OR BUSINESS ANALYST

Location: Karachi

Contract 1- year or 2 years bonding.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understanding of Development of IFRS-9 Expected Credit Loss modeling for PDs, LGD, along with Basel Guidelines.
• Excellent understanding of machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques and algorithms,
• Develop and implement statistical models and algorithms to identify, quantify, and predict enterprise risks.
• Analyze large datasets to uncover trends and patterns related to risk exposure.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand risk management needs and translate them into data-driven solutions.
• Prepare and present data visualizations and reports that communicate findings and recommendations effectively.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of risk management strategies and adjust models as necessary.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in risk management.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Data Science.
• 0-1 years of working experience in the role.
• Proven experience in data analysis, statistical modelling, and machine learning techniques.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
