Job summary

leading-edge is seeking a DATA ANALYST OR BUSINESS ANALYST to join our Karachi team. The role involves developing IFRS-9 Expected Credit Loss models, leveraging ML techniques, and translating risk insights into data-driven decisions.

You will work with Python/R/SQL, build visualizations, and present findings to stakeholders. The position is a 1- to 2-year contract/bond with a budget of 200k in local currency.

Qualifications

• Degree in Data Science with strong analytical capabilities.
• 0–1 year of experience in data analysis or related roles.
• Proficiency in Python, R or SQL for data manipulation.
• Experience with visualization tools like Tableau/Power BI; big data knowledge is a plus.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop IFRS-9 ECL modeling for PDs, LGD, Basel guidelines.
• Apply ML/AI techniques to identify enterprise risk trends.
• Build and implement statistical models and algorithms.
• Analyze large datasets to uncover risk patterns.
• Translate risk needs into data-driven solutions for stakeholders.
• Prepare data visuals and reports to communicate findings.
• Monitor model performance and adjust as needed.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes and risk best practices.
