Job summary

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role in data analytics, reporting, dashboards and BI.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Data Science, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Power BI, SQL and Excel for analytics, reporting and data validation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, understand, document, and analyse business requirements related to data analytics, reporting, dashboards, and BI.
• Build analytical dashboards, reports, and visualisations using Power BI, SQL, MS Excel to support monitoring and decision-making.
• Conduct ad-hoc data analysis, statistical analysis, data profiling, and numerical problem-solving to identify trends and insights.
• Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications including data models, dictionaries, and reporting logic.
• Support data integration and transformation by understanding data sources and coordinating with teams for resolution.
• Perform data validation, dashboard testing, reconciliation, and troubleshooting to ensure accuracy and integrity of outputs.
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Job Overview

To support data-driven decision-making by gathering business requirements, analysing data, building analytical dashboards and reports, and translating business needs into clear technical specifications, with a focus on data analytics, reporting, and business intelligence within the banking industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with key stakeholders to gather, understand, document, and analyse business requirements related to data analytics, reporting, dashboards, and business intelligence.
• Build analytical dashboards, reports, and visualisations using Power BI, SQL, MS Excel, and relevant analytical techniques to support business monitoring and decision-making.
• Conduct ad-hoc data analysis, statistical analysis, data profiling, and numerical problem-solving to interpret complex datasets and identify trends, patterns, issues, and actionable insights.
• Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications, including data models, data dictionaries, functional specifications, reporting logic, and dashboard requirements.
• Support data integration and transformation efforts by understanding data sources, identifying data quality issues, validating business rules, and coordinating with relevant teams for resolution.
• Perform data validation, dashboard testing, reconciliation, and troubleshooting to ensure accuracy, completeness, consistency, and integrity of analytical outputs.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams and client stakeholders by communicating analytical findings, reporting requirements, issues, assumptions, and recommendations clearly and professionally.

Experience Required

3+ year of relevant experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role, preferably with exposure to data analytics, reporting, dashboards, and business intelligence within the banking industry.

Educational Background Required

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Data Science, or a related field.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong foundation in statistical analysis, quantitative modelling, numerical problem-solving, and interpretation of complex datasets to generate actionable insights.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI for data modelling, dashboard development, reporting, and data visualisation.
• Proficiency in SQL and MS Excel for ad-hoc analysis, data extraction, data validation, reporting, reconciliation, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications, including data models, data dictionaries, functional specifications, dashboards, and reporting logic.
