Job summary

Abbott in Karachi, Pakistan is seeking a Training Manager to lead the design and execution of commercial training, building capabilities across onboarding, product knowledge, selling skills, and field coaching to drive performance.

The role covers annual training planning, launch readiness for new products, KPI evaluation, and collaboration with Medical and Marketing to update manuals and ensure SumTotal content is current.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic medical and product profiles and their competitive edge.
• Selling skills and customer handling with social styles.
• Five years of field sales management experience.
• Five years of experience as Training Manager.
• Experience with CRM systems and eLearning platforms.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to selection of new hires on trainability and selling aptitude.
• Train new hires on medical background, product profiles, and selling skills.
• Arrange onboarding on SFA, policies, EHS, and distribution for readiness.
• Own the annual commercial capability plan aligned with business priorities.
• Develop and implement capability-building initiatives for sales teams and managers.
• Monitor training effectiveness and update programs based on KPIs.
