Job summary

Contour Software, part of Constellation Software Inc., is seeking an experienced Cloud Operations Engineer to support CORA Legal Group’s production cloud applications. You will design, implement and manage our cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure and GCP to ensure high availability, reliability and performance.

You will develop IaC with Terraform/CloudFormation/Ansible, set up CI/CD pipelines, monitor systems, and optimize costs while ensuring compliance with ISO 27001, SOC 2 and GDPR.

Responsibilities

• Monitor client-facing environments and promptly escape any performance, security, or availability issues to the proper internal resources.
• Design and manage highly available, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure across multi-cloud environments (eg. AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Design and implement cloud-based solutions that align with best practices for performance, security, including identity and access management (IAM) and cost-efficiency.
• Manage cloud resources, including virtual machines, containers, databases, networking, and storage, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible to automate the provisioning and management of cloud resources.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline the deployment process, ensuring fast and reliable application releases.
• Automate routine operational tasks, such as monitoring, scaling, and backups, to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
• Set up comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to proactively identify and resolve potential issues before they impact users.
• Manage incident response efforts, including root cause analysis and remediation, to minimize downtime and ensure a stable environment.
• Continuously optimize cloud infrastructure for cost-effectiveness and performance, identifying and eliminating bottlenecks.
• Ensure the cloud environment complies with industry standards and regulations (eg. ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR) through the implementation of security controls and audits.
• Stay up to date with the latest cloud technologies and trends and evaluate their applicability to our environment.
• Provide 24/7 support for cloud applications, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Document support processes and maintain a knowledge base for common issues and solutions.
