Job summary

NIT University seeks a seasoned Head of Administration & Security to lead campus administration and security operations. The role oversees day-to-day admin services, facilities, and safety, ensuring smooth campus and hostel operations. Qualifications

• Incumbent must be a graduate and have served in armed forces.
• Not more than one year post-retirement.
• Not above 50 years old, medically fit and pleasant personality.
• Intelligence Course qualified with experience in intelligence organizations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee administrative support services on campus.
• Supervise office staff, housekeeping, cafeteria, maintenance, and transport teams.
• Ensure readiness and availability of services across departments.
• Coordinate with procurement for space planning and asset deployment.
• Manage outsourced service providers and ensure compliance.
• Lead safety and evacuation training for staff.
• Develop SOPs and communicate roles for administrative staff.
• Maintain backup personnel for critical tasks and events.
• Plan, deploy, and supervise security measures across campus.
• Oversee guards, CCTV, and access control systems.
• Maintain visitor protocols and site movement control.
• Prepare emergency protocols with police and civil defense.
• Monitor vendor access and site protocols with project engineers.
• Maintain records of ID issuance and safety briefings.
• Generate weekly reports to senior management.
• Ensure fire safety and first aid readiness; conduct mock drills.
