Job summary

vasl-talent is seeking a CA-qualified bookkeeper to join our team. This US-based role requires 1-3 years of experience, hands-on bookkeeping, US GAAP, QuickBooks Online and Xero, and the ability to manage end-to-end accounting for international clients.

Based onsite in Islamabad, you will handle A/R, A/P, payroll, reconciliations and financial reporting with a high degree of accuracy, delivering insights and maintaining strong client relationships.

Qualifications

Job Overview

We are seeking a AC CA or CA qualified (can be PQ as well) Bookkeeper to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a Chartered Accountant with 1-3 years of experience, including strong hands-on expertise in full charge bookkeeping, US GAAP, and QuickBooks and Xero. The selected candidate will manage the complete bookkeeping and accounting lifecycle for international clients. This includes overseeing accounts receivable/payable, payroll processing, reconciliations, and preparing financial statements all while maintaining high levels of accuracy and professionalism. A deep understanding of accounting principles, especially within a U.S. GAAP framework, is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Full Charge Bookkeeping

• End-to-end bookkeeping for multiple international clients
• Maintain accuracy and compliance with applicable standards (especially US GAAP)
• Ensure timely month-end and year-end closings

Accounts Payable & Receivable

• Oversee client invoicing, billing cycles, and collections
• Manage vendor payments and ensure timely processing of AP

Reconciliations

• Conduct regular reconciliations of bank, credit card, and other general ledger accounts
• Identify and resolve discrepancies promptly

Payroll Processing

• Administer payroll processes and reporting for clients
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and accurate compensation recording

Financial Reporting

• Prepare and analyze financial statements
• Deliver insights and recommendations to clients for better financial decisions

Client Communication

• Act as the main financial point of contact for clients
• Provide responsive, high-quality support and financial guidance

Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant (CA) – Active qualification
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and international accounting standards
• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online, Xero, and Excel
• High attention to detail, strong analytical and organizational skills
• Strong communication skills particularly in a client-facing environment
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple client accounts simultaneously

Experience Requirements

• 1-3 years of professional accounting/bookkeeping experience
• Prior experience in a reputable accounting firm is highly preferred
• Strong command over cloud-based accounting platforms and tools
• Must have experience managing multiple clients' financials concurrently
• Demonstrated ability to work with U.S.-based clients and within U.S. accounting frameworks
