Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Technical Service Specialist in Islamabad to deliver field service and maintenance for diagnostic instruments. You will perform planned maintenance, hardware and software upgrades (TSBs), and assist with installations.

The role emphasizes strong customer interaction, problem-solving, and collaboration with lab staff to ensure high service quality and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biomedical, Electrical or Mechanical engineering.
• 4–5 years of relevant field experience with customers or labs.
• Proven engagement with lab staff and customers.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide first line service to customers (interventions under 4 hours).
• Schedule and perform planned/predictive maintenance activities.
• Schedule, perform and document hardware/software updates (TSBs).
• Assist with instrument installations and deinstallations.
• Travel within the service area and achieve service KPIs.
