Job summary

Al Ghurair is seeking a skilled BIM Modeller – Electrical to join our Design & Engineering team and support the delivery of substation and electrical infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in developing coordinated electrical BIM models, producing shop drawings, and supporting multidisciplinary coordination for HV/MV/LV systems.

A degree/diploma in Electrical Engineering and at least 5 years of BIM experience, including 1 year of site coordination exposure, are

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of BIM experience with at least 1 year site coordination exposure.
• Experience with HV/MV/LV substation systems and electrical coordination.

Responsibilities

• Develop accurate 3D BIM models for electrical systems per project specs and BIM standards.
• Prepare and update electrical discipline models based on design inputs.
• Extract shop drawings, layouts, schedules, and construction docs from BIM models.
• Perform clash detection and coordinate with disciplines to resolve design issues.
• Coordinate with BIM Managers, engineers, designers, and site teams for project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop accurate 3D BIM models in line with project specifications, LOD requirements, and BIM standards.
• Prepare and update electrical discipline models based on design inputs.
• Extract shop drawings, layouts, schedules, and construction documentation from BIM models.
• Perform clash detection and coordinate with other disciplines to resolve design issues.
• Maintain compliance with BIM Execution Plans (BEP), CDE workflows, and project standards.
• Support quantity take-offs, model-based data extraction, and BIM deliverables.
• Coordinate with BIM Managers, engineers, designers, and site teams for smooth project execution.

Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or relevant field.
