Job summary

Mashreq is seeking a seasoned UNIX/Linux administrator to support a large-scale enterprise. You will manage Red Hat, AIX, HP-UX and Oracle Linux environments, perform OS upgrades and patching, and ensure security baselines.

Responsibilities include virtualization with VMware/OpenShift, container deployment with Docker/Kubernetes, automation scripting, and 24x7 BAU incident management. The role covers server builds, monitoring, and cloud portal tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience in UNIX platforms support in a large-scale environment.
• Proficient with Redhat, AIX upgrades, performing OS migrations.
• Exposure to CIS security baselines and vulnerability management.
• Experience with virtualization technologies like VMware, OpenShift, VIOS, HP VSP.
• OS patching across Linux and UNIX flavors and using Red Hat Satellite.
• Server hardware installation and configuration (IBM Power, Exadata, x86).
• Shell scripting and automation experience.
• Firmware upgrades for server hardware.
• Hyper-converged hardware and engineered systems like Exadata.
• 24x7 BAU Incident, Change and Problem Management.
• Support project activities, server builds, cloud portal management.
• Exposure to Docker, containers, Kubernetes.
• OS installations, application deployments, health monitoring, capacity and performance.
