Job summary

Mashreq Careers in the UAE seeks an experienced compliance professional to support the Head of CIBG Compliance, handling day-to-day KYC referrals and name screening while ensuring adherence to UAE KYC standards and regulatory requirements.

You will mentor Compliance Officers and Analysts, coordinate with Internal Audit and Compliance Assurance, and back up the Squad Lead to maintain SLA performance. Fluent English, strong presentation skills, and a solid risk-based mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate with 5-10 years of corporate banking compliance experience.
• Knowledge and understanding of local regulatory rules and international requirements including FATCA/CRS.
• Computer literate with proficient English (spoken and written).
• Good presentation skills and risk-based problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Maintain proactive relationships with business and operations stakeholders.
• Timely review and update SOPs and bank-wide compliance policies.
• Lead periodic huddle meetings to raise staff awareness of policies.
• Timely submission of all reports/MIS related to CIBG Compliance.
• Coordinate with business stakeholders for regulator inquiries (UAE Central Bank/HO).
• Represent CIBG compliance in ad hoc projects as directed.
• Aim for satisfactory internal audit outcomes.
