Job summary

Pakistan is seeking an experienced civil engineer to assist the Resident Engineer (Civil) with site inspection, quality documentation and verification of solar-related civil and rooftop structural activities.

Key responsibilities include inspecting excavation, foundations, reinforcement, formwork, concrete, mounting supports, drainage and other solar EPC civil works; reviewing drawings, QA records, and field tests; monitoring safety and environmental controls; and supporting handover

Qualifications

• Four-year B.E./B.Sc./B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from an HEC-recognized university under a PEC-accredited engineering programme.
• At least 5 years of post-qualification experience in civil construction or infrastructure works, including at least 2 years in construction supervision, field quality control, foundations, structural work or site inspection.
• Preferred Experience: PV support structures, rooftop civil works, BESS foundations, site drainage or high-altitude construction is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Inspect excavation, foundations, reinforcement, formwork, concrete, solar mounting supports, equipment pads, drainage and other approved solar EPC civil works.
• Check compliance with approved drawings, contractor quality plans, material test reports and inspection/testing records and record defects and corrective actions.
• Assist in reviewing rooftop structural assessment documentation, mounting details and observed building conditions, referring technical concerns for competent engineering review.
• Witness or check field-quality tests and surveys, verify measurements and keep photographic and quantity evidence for supervisory review.
• Monitor safety and environmental controls within solar sites, particularly excavations, work at height, erosion and drainage risks.
• Prepare site progress and issue reports and support civil completion and handover documentation.
