Job summary

Private Power & Infrastructure Board (PPIB) in Pakistan is hiring an Assistant Resident Engineer – Civil (PPS-7) on a contract basis. The role emphasizes site inspection, quality documentation and verification of solar-related civil and rooftop structural activities.

Ideal candidates have a four-year civil engineering degree and at least five years of post-qualification experience, including construction supervision and field quality control. PV support structures experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Four-year B.E./B.Sc./B.S. in Civil Engineering from PEC-accredited program.
• At least 5 years post-qualification experience in civil construction or infrastructure works.
• Experience in PV support structures, rooftop civil works or site inspection is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Inspect excavation, foundations, reinforcement, formwork, concrete, solar mounting supports and drainage.
• Check compliance with approved drawings, contractor quality plans, material test reports and records.
• Assist in reviewing rooftop structural assessments and mounting details.
• Witness field-quality tests, verify measurements, and document with photos and quantities.
• Monitor safety and environmental controls on solar sites and supervise works.
• Prepare site progress reports and support civil completion and handover documentation.
