Job summary

Ziauddin University in Karachi seeks an experienced academic to teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Psychology, including Clinical Psychology, in line with the approved curriculum.

You will develop lectures, supervise research theses, publish in peer‑reviewed journals, mentor students, and contribute to curriculum development, assessment records, and accreditation activities with the Head of Department.

Qualifications

• PhD or MS/MPhil in Psychology/Clinical Psychology required with 3 years teaching and research experience.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Psychology/Clinical Psychology in accordance with the approved curriculum.
• Develop and deliver lectures, course materials, assessments, and other academic activities.
• Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research projects and theses.
• Conduct independent and collaborative research and contribute to publications in peer‑reviewed journals.
• Participate in academic activities including Board of Studies BOS, seminars, workshops, conferences, and departmental meetings.
• Provide academic advising, mentoring, and guidance to students.
• Contribute to curriculum development, course revision, and quality enhancement initiatives.
• Maintain students' academic records, attendance, assessments, and course documentation as required.
• Participate in clinical training and supervision, where applicable to the assigned courses and program.
• Collaborate with faculty members on research, academic projects, and institutional initiatives.
• Contribute to accreditation, quality assurance, and other academic requirements of the University.
• Undertake any other academic responsibilities assigned by the Head of Department/Principal/Dean.
