DP World NLC Logistics (Pvt) Ltd. in Karachi is seeking an Assistant Manager – Procurement to lead sourcing and purchasing, manage supplier relations, and ensure cost-effective and timely supply.

The role requires MBA in supply chain and 2-3 years of relevant experience, familiarity with Oracle ERP, and knowledge of local and import procurement; you will drive process improvements and ensure compliance.

Qualifications

• MBA in Supply Chain or related field.
• 2-3 years of procurement experience.
• Experience with Oracle ERP preferred.
• Knowledge of local and import procurement processes.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure optimal pricing and service levels.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and sourcing opportunities.
• Negotiate on pricing with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable terms.
• Creation and management of purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and adherence to procurement policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs and align procurement activities with organizational objectives.
• Continuously assess and enhance procurement processes, policies, and systems to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies throughout the procurement process.
• Promote ethical and responsible procurement practices.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Assistant Manager – Procurement to join our team in the new JV Company. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing and acquiring goods and services ensuring cost-effective and timely supply and maintaining vendor relationships for organizational success.

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure optimal pricing and service levels.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and sourcing opportunities.
• Negotiate on pricing with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable terms.
• Creation and management of purchase orders, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to procurement policies and procedures. Order fulfilment and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs and align procurement activities with organizational objectives.
• Continuously assess and enhance procurement processes, policies, and systems to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance. Identify areas for automation and streamlining to enhance procurement operations.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies throughout the procurement process. Promote ethical and responsible procurement practices.
• Ensure Procurement KPI’s are met with compliance to department policy and procedures.
